October 7th my grandmother died. I am left with a feeling of emptiness. Just a few moths earlier, we were celebrating her 80th Birthday...somehow it was like we all knew, this probably was the last time we would all be gathered at her Birthday. I miss her...tomorrow october 14th is the funeral:´( I don't know how I will react. I keep getting all those pictures and memories from my past. As a child I would sometimes ride my bike 15 km to visit her and granddad. I have fond memories of those summer days back in Southern Jutland(Denmark) where I grew up. My grand dad was a fireman, and I was so thrilled when we went to the firestation and saw the firetrucks. I remeber sitting in their livingroom drawing firetrucks and stuff. They had the best garden with the sweetest strawberries...they tasted of sun and summer. My grandmother would make marmelade, juice or stewed fruit from the fruits and berries from the garden. My grandmother was my Godmother too. Something that somehow always made us have a special bond somehow. Now she's gone...forever. Tomorrow she'll be send off to her final journey. I am sad....but I am also at peace, because she was ill a lot, and it's better that she doesn't suffer anymore. So much has happend in such a short time...it's hard to keep up. I feel drained sometimes...like I don't have the energy to be the one I want to be...feel like I let people down, because I haven't got all the energy that I used to, so I can be there for friends and loved ones. Life is just a bit hard at the moment, and I am sorry if I am not here enough. Sometines I feel like a God...sometimes I just feel small and tired. Right now, I just wanna cuddle up and forget about the world for a while.

I thought it was about time to make a themed feature, I have been wanting to make one ever since I made this so I have decided to make a feature on Emilie Autumn. I love her music, and her looks, and it seems she a great inspiration to a lot of people around the world I've decided to keep the focus on traditional art.
Please take you time to visit these great artist and fave and comment on their work

Hello fellow deviants
It's time for a small update from my part of the world.
On march 10th and I had our 3 year anniversary. It was the day of our first kiss I planned a special day for her. I gave her a love bouqet of flowers made by and I took her out to dinner and in the movies. It was such a lovely day and evening. I love you baby
We really love our new apartment. We feel like home. It's funny, but it just took a few danys and then I already had the feeling of home....i never really got that in the old place. I believe this is the place where we are meant to be.
I have made a feature with some favorite works by some of those I watch or like. I have decided to focus on some of the talented traditional/pencil/charcoal-artist out there:

Dear Friends
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and you can look forward to a great New Year's. I had a wonderful Chritmas with Zindy. We spend it with my brother and his girlfriend's family, we were 16 for Christmas dinner. It was a really nice and traditional Danish Christmas. I loved it this year, because for the first time, I got to spend it with my lovely girlfriend, Zindy.
I can't believe it's actually been 6 months since I've updated my journal I really plan for next year to be better...I will be more active, both on the creative side and commenting
In February 2009 Zindy and I are moving to our new apartment. We really look forward to it. I can't wait. It's bigger, in a better neighborhood and cheaper....yay
That's it for now. I hope to be able to update with features and new art in January.
All the best to you my friends and I hope you will have the time of your life in the days to come.
Best wishes
Ralf

I thought it was about time for a new update plus a new feature. I've been really busy lately, but I'm glad I've had the time to sit down and draw something. I've been missing that. I hope I get more time to do so in the future
Things are well here at home. I am really excited about opening her own tube-store. She's worked really hard on that. I hope you will support her
For my new feature I've chosen: you might also know her as I chose her, because I really like her style. She is doing a lot of mixed art. She is awesome at creating her own gothic Burton-esque style in traditional art and she does some wicked digital art too. Her pictures are so wonderful and pretty. If you need good quality stock, please go visit hers at
Here are some of my faves from her wonderful gallery: Art

If you like what you see, please go fave and comment on her art.
